Traditional Yoga Education for the Modern World
A place to study yoga beyond the physical practice, rooted in traditional wisdom, modern understanding, and personal mentorship.
Our Mission
Yoga has never been just about postures.
Long before yoga studios, fitness trends, and social media, yoga was a path of self-discovery, a system for understanding the body, mind, breath, and the deeper dimensions of human experience.
At Rohit Yoga Academy, we honor this tradition while making it accessible and relevant for modern practitioners.
Our mission is simple: to provide authentic, high-quality yoga education that helps students deepen their practice, develop as teachers, and integrate the wisdom of yoga into everyday life.
Located in the heart of Ram Jhula, Rishikesh, we offer immersive Yoga Alliance certified teacher trainings, workshops, retreats, and continuing education programs for students from around the world.
Why We Exist
Over the last decade, yoga has become more popular than ever. Millions of people practice yoga around the world. Yet many students still find themselves asking, “What is yoga really about?”
They learn postures. They attend classes. They improve flexibility. But often they feel there is something missing: the deeper teachings, the philosophy, the breathwork, the meditation, and the understanding of yoga as a complete system rather than simply a physical activity.
Rohit Yoga Academy was created to bridge that gap. Our intention is not merely to teach yoga techniques. Our intention is to help students understand yoga in its entirety.

What Makes Us Different?
Small groups allow meaningful teacher-student relationships and individualized support.
We combine functional anatomy and traditional yogic anatomy to help students practice and teach intelligently.
Philosophy is treated as a central part of the curriculum rather than an afterthought.
Breathwork and meditation receive equal importance alongside physical practice.
Our focus remains on education, practice, and personal growth rather than commercialization.
Students become part of a supportive international community united by a shared commitment to yoga.
Why We Keep Groups Small
Many teacher trainings accommodate 30, 40, or even 50 students at a time. While larger groups may increase enrollment numbers, they often reduce opportunities for meaningful interaction and individual support.
We believe quality matters more than quantity. Smaller groups allow us to know every student personally, provide individualized guidance, offer detailed feedback, answer questions thoroughly, and create a supportive learning environment.
Our students are never treated as numbers. Every individual brings a unique background, perspective, and journey. Education should honor that individuality.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a school where yoga is taught with depth, integrity, and respect for its traditions. A school where students feel supported rather than overwhelmed. A school where learning extends beyond the classroom.
For many students, Rohit Yoga Academy becomes more than a place of study. It becomes a community, a place of growth, friendship, transformation, and the beginning of lifelong practice.
If you feel called to deepen your understanding of yoga, develop your teaching skills, or immerse yourself in a traditional learning environment, we invite you to join us in Rishikesh.
